چکیده
The majority of nutrients in municipal wastewater originate from urine. However, when flush water is used, the urine diluted and mixed with other organic household waste, losing its high-value stream content. This study investigated effect source-separated human on population dynamics, nutrient removal, growth, biogas content microalgae grown 250 L raceway ponds. Overall, a maximum biomass concentration 1847 mg/L was reached, up to 90% nitrogen 80% phosphorus removal efficiencies, along 254.96 L/kg vs. production. microbial community analysis identified Chlorella sorokiniana (Chlorophyta, Trebouxiophyceae) as species highest abundance, after confirmation four different markers (16S rRNA, 18S 23S tufA). Moreover, principal component applied capture environmental factors culture diversity. abundance increased almost sevenfold exposed open systems compared small-scale carried out 1 Erlenmeyer bottles laboratory conditions, both synthetic media (BBM). In conclusion, present contributes potential valorize by showing high content, reveals that can adapt adverse conditions fostering their

Valorization of municipal solid wastes through biogas production in Iran
Iran is a developing country with a population of over 80 million. The total daily MSWs production in Iran is about 50 million kg. Most of the MSWs in this country is being disposed of in the landfills. Some of the landfills are located in the urban area or near to sea, river, and forest. In this regard, the management of MSWS becomes a concern in Iran. One solution to manage MSWs and mitigate ...
متن کاملMixed Wastewater Coupled with CO2 for Microalgae Culturing and Nutrient Removal
Biomass, nutrient removal capacity, lipid productivity and morphological changes of Chlorella sorokiniana and Desmodesmus communis were investigated in mixed wastewaters with different CO2 concentrations. Under optimal condition, which was 1:3 ratio of swine wastewater to second treated municipal wastewater with 5% CO2, the maximum biomass concentrations were 1.22 g L-1 and 0.84 g L-1 for C. so...
متن کاملMicroalgae Cultivation in Wastewater for Nutrient Removal
Wastewater is the spent or used water containing dissolved or suspended solids such as pollutants and microbes, including nutrients. The wastewater discharged into the water bodies are hazardous to environment and cause various health problems in human beings. Eutrophication is one such major environmental problem caused due to the discharge of nutrient rich wastewater into the nearby water bod...
متن کاملParallel Nutrient Removal and Biogas Production by Chlorella Vulgaris Cultures
In aquatic environments, eutrophication causes algal blooms, oxygen depletion, increase in undesired vegetation, loss of plant beds, fish, coral reef and other species. Eventually, the water bodies become unavailable to utilize for agricultural, recreational, industrial and drinking purposes. Discharge of domestic sewage introducing high levels of nutrients to water bodies is one of the main ca...
متن کاملIsolation of microalgae with potential for integrated biomass production and nutrient removal from wastewater
Abstract The present study firstly investigates the variations of microalgae in the constructed wetland. Then one of the potential microalgal species was isolated and cultured in autotrophic and mixotrophic growth to compare the performance on biomass production and to evaluate the ability of wastewater treatment and simultaneous biodiesel production. Scenedesmus sp. was an abundant strain in t...
